Spotlight: Group 1 win over 6f in 2023; fourth, behind a couple of reopposing rivals, in this race 12 months ago; two good runs this year (Meydan/Royal Ascot) and returning to 6f no bad thing; should be in the thick of it.

Spotlight: Creditable effort at York on his reappearance but turned in a lacklustre effort in the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot last time; not a solid option on the back of that but he's 2-2 over C&D, including this race 12 months ago (strong form), and new cheekpieces could help.

Spotlight: Made fine progress last year, his first season of racing, culminating in a Group 1 win at Ascot on Champions Day (6f, soft); two lacklustre efforts so far this year, however, and needs a full revival.

Spotlight: Promising 2yo; only seen three times last year, showing useful form when fifth at Royal Ascot (1m, good to firm) and Goodwood (1m, good to firm; Group 3); still has some potential but the return to 6f isn't sure to suit on his return from 351 days off.

Spotlight: Progressive last summer, winning two 6f handicaps at Ascot and ending the campaign with a fine second in a Group 3 over the same C&D; promising return at Salisbury and was well backed ahead of his Wokingham bid four weeks ago, only to drop away in the closing stages; versatile groundwise; still early days and new blinkers could give him a lift.

Spotlight: Fully effective on turf and his best effort on the grass came over C&D last May; flourishing on AW this year but only third behind Diligent Harry at Newcastle three weeks ago and he'll need another jolt of improvement to win.

Spotlight: C&D winner; two Group 1 wins at Royal Ascot (2023 and 2024; both 6f, good to firm); not far off his best when second in a Grade 2 in America last September; returns from 315 days off though and whether he'll retain all his ability as a 9yo is a moot point.

Spotlight: Best known for his AW exploits but he is having his fifth run in this race, second in 2021 and 2023; as good as ever when winning at Newcastle (6f, Group 3) three weeks ago but the penalty he shoulders for that could leave him vulnerable.

Spotlight: Had a couple of today's rivals in behind when winning at Salisbury in May (6f, good to firm) but she was race fit on that occasion and has since been well held at Newcastle; others bring more obvious claims.

Spotlight: Won the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot on his second 2yo start (5f, good to firm); highly tried and come up short since but he ran well on his first two starts this year; improvement required if he is to defeat his elders this time.

Spotlight: Over two years since his last win; has run some solid races in defeat since then, including at this level, but nothing to suggest he is the answer in a strong Group 3; blinkers now tried.

Spotlight: Began the campaign with two heavy defeats but she was reinvigorated by cheekpieces at York eight days ago, showing good speed in a fillies' Group 3 but weakening late; can win more races this year but unlikely this will be one of them.
